The Standard Plus service is intended for ‘component kitchens’ - so what is a component kitchen? Chances are you've come across a brand called Second Nature which is distributed by a huge company called PWS. They supply a comprehensive range of furniture fronts - that is the doors, drawerfronts, cornice, plinth and other trim - and lots of other bits and pieces - components, in fact. They do not supply cabinets.  What many dealers do is buy in or make cabinets and fit them with PWS or similar  components. This is one very common form of semi-bespoke kitchen. Installing a component kitchen has a lot of advantages. There's considerably more flexibility than using ready made, off the shelf furniture.  Cabinets can be made to any size or design as long as the doors will fit on them. However, the components are mass produced to standard sizes (and hence well priced) so there are limitations.  What does the Standard Plus Service Include? Preparation of a computer (CAD) drawing of your room space based on the dimensions and photographs or architect's drawings that you supply. Assessment of the space available with regard to your requirements (your Wishlist). We may call or email to ask questions and discuss options. Insertion of cabinets, appliances, sink, worktops and other relevant detail into the CAD drawing. Standard Plus Curvy high gloss kitchen 3D CAD rendering, glass splashbacks

Certain complex features, such as overmantels, may incur additional design fees dependent on the amount of drawing involved. We will quote accordingly before starting any design work. Which brands and companies? PWS are the major supplier of kitchen furniture components. They have up and coming competition from an Irish company called Uform (brand name is Stori), which has ex-PWS management.  There are also Marpatt and Richard Burbidge.
