The Made to Measure service frees your kitchen design from industry standard sizes. We can work with you  to achieve something really individual. There are specialist companies who supply made to measure doors (any size) in many different materials, just as there are companies who supply cabinets in just about any size. A typical Made to Measure kitchen will have cabinets from one supplier, doors from another, worktops from yet another. Far from being an organisational nightmare this is an established and reliable method of building a kitchen. Of course, the real advantage is flexibility. Furniture can be specially made to fit any awkward space.  One of the 'rules' that underlies good practice in kitchen design is to have as few different widths of cupboard as possible (and if different, widths should have mathematical relationship to each other). As an example, a 500 door may look vile next to a 450 door - so fill the same space with two doors of 475. Made to Measure can be very cost effective, given the freedom it allows. Vinyl and laminate doors can be sourced in non- standard sizes at reasonable cost. The Made to Measure category does not include inset frame doors. For this upgrade and a range of luxury features such as overmantels and dressers please see the Bespoke service. Made to Measure What does the Made to Measure  Service Include? Preparation of a computer (CAD) drawing of your room space based on the dimensions and photographs or architect's drawings that you supply. Assessment of the space available with regard to your requirements (your Wishlist). We may call or email to ask questions and discuss options. Insertion of cabinets, appliances, sink, worktops and other relevant detail into the CAD drawing. Plans, elevations and 3D pictures, explanatory notes. Draft plans only will be emailed to you initially.  At this stage you should indicate any changes that you require (Revision Stage). A printed version of the revised drawings and notes will be sent to you in a presentation folder together with a product list detailing the sizes of cabinets, doors, drawerfronts, cornice, pelmet, plinth, panels, other decorative trim, internal details, worktop, sink, tap, appliances. Diagrams will be supplied of any special cabinets or features which can be passed to the appropriate firm(s) for fabrication. Guide prices based on the information available at the time will be given for the items on the product list.  You should be aware that discounts may be negotiable, that prices may vary between suppliers and that prices can go up and down.  All prices stated are therefore for guidance only. An estimate will be given of the time needed to fit the furniture and a suggestion of an appropriate charge for fitting.  Any figures given are for guidance only. We strongly recommend that you find a Fitter who will conduct a Survey and verify the plans before ordering any products.  If the Fitter believes that changes are necessary we will alter the plans accordingly. The Fitter is very welcome to contact us. The fee for a Made to Measure kitchen design is £395 for a moderate (up to 20 square metres) room.  For a larger area, we will quote dependent on the amount of drawing.
