How much money could I save by using Kitchen Plans? Difficult to say but I’ll have a go. Let’s take the example of a kitchen which has a price tag of £12,000 ex VAT.  First of all, let’s deduct £2,000 which will go to the fitter.  That leaves £10,000 as the price of the furniture. A typical commission deal might be that the sales/designer gets 10% to 15% of the furniture price, even more. Therefore the level of commission is between £1000 and £1500. Our design fees compare very well with this indeed.  Our Standard Service is only £95.  With the Standard Plus service at £195, the Made to Measure service at £395 you’d still be saving money.  Of course, with a made to measure kitchen we are heading into the higher end - the base price is likely to be more than £10k - even more commission you don’t want to pay. At £595 for a Bespoke design including inset frame doors you’d still benefit at the £10k kitchen level; but the reality is that a kitchen of this quality will be (realistically) more in the area of £20k or more.  So Kitchen Plans is a terrific bargain. FAQ I’ve seen the kitchen I want at a local showroom.  They’re offering ‘free’ design - so obviously their prices include design fees. How do I benefit from using Kitchen Plans? Everyone in this economic climate has got to make deals.  Be nice but take control. Tell them you don’t want their design service. With Kitchen Plans you’ve already got a design and you know how much the kitchen should cost (roughly). Make an offer.  It’s an order on a plate for them, with lots of hard work removed.  They want it.  Be prepared to walk out of the showroom. Yep, tried that.  And I really want that kitchen. Stop worrying. Chances are you can get that kitchen somehow somewhere else - and what’s more, your friends at the showroom know it. Don’t worry about losing face - go back, wear them down. But...have you found your Fitter yet?  Everything that your showroom has is available to your Fitter.  He should know where to get stuff, and if not, we can help.  And this is where you really start saving money. There’s not very many questions on this FAQ page, is there? No, and that’s where you could help me out. I would prefer to populate this page with real questions from real people.  If you have a question please email it to me or use the feedback form. I’ll answer your question personally, but I might use your question on this page, if that’s OK - no names mentioned.
